Some EV owners pair their wallbox with a solar and battery backup system, particularly one already installed to cover load shedding for the rest of the house, which can also be used to keep EV charging going through outages. The catch is sizing: an existing backup system designed for lights, WiFi and a fridge may not have the sustained capacity for EV charging on top of that, so this needs its own proper assessment rather than an assumption that "we already have backup power, so we're covered."
